High school students, college kids, teachers, educators, parents … rise up!
Austerity affects all aspects of our education system
- cuts to schools
- school closures
- performance funding
- student debt
- rising tuition
- CEOs running our schools instead of our communities
- treating schools like a business instead of a public service
- destruction of a well-rounded education
Education must be controlled by the community – by us. Together – youth, parents, teachers – can bring education to our communities. On November 3rd, we engage in action to call for community control of resources, starting in our public school system.
Get involved - organize an action at your school, during the march, or at an institution of austerity. Contact students@portlandactionlab.org to get connected.
